Irish Doppelganger Folk Horror ‘The Twin’ Trailer with Logan Donovan

“The sight of your Fetch is an omen for coming death.” Vertical has debuted the official trailer for an Irish folklore horror thriller film titled The Twin, which comes across more like a doppelganger psychological thriller than just horror. This first premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival and won the Audience Award from Dark Matters. “After such a long journey, I’m incredibly proud to finally share The Twin with horror audiences everywhere. It’s a story about the things we try to bury that somehow find a way to dig themselves out.” Following the death of his only son, a grieving father is haunted by a terrifying demon known in Irish folklore as the Fetch. He begins experiencing terrifying visions of a shadowy figure that looks like himself. Featuring a “haunted and physically impressive performance” from Logan Donovan as Nicholas (and also playing his shadowy figure). Also starring Robert Longstreet, Aleksa Palladino, Shannon Cochran, Tucker Grumbles, & Tripp Toupal. Looks creepy but still just another cliche story about grief as horror.

After the tragic loss of his son, Nicholas (Logan Donovan) struggles with grief and a strained relationship with wife Charlie (Aleksa Palladino). Under the watch of psychiatrist Dr. Beaumont (Robert Longstreet), Nicholas begins experiencing terrifying visions of a shadowy figure that looks like himself. As his reality unravels, Nicholas must confront his past and the supernatural force haunting him before it consumes him completely. The Twin, formerly known as The Fetch, is directed by American editor / producer / filmmaker J.C. Doler, making his feature directorial debut with this film after many other shorts.
