At the star-studded Mid‑Day Showbiz Icon Awards on June 30, 2025, filmmaker Anees Bazmee gave fans some much-anticipated news about two of his most beloved franchises: No Entry 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
No Entry 2: Cameras Rolling Soon!
Bazmee confirmed that No Entry 2, the sequel to his 2005 comedy classic—is about to move into production. After months of script revisions and meticulous planning, the director said, “It will start very soon. It took a lot of time to write it and plan the shoot. Now we are almost ready and very soon we can start the shoot.”
The original featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, with supporting roles by Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, and Esha Deol. Rumored to star Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and previously Diljit Dosanjh, the sequel’s casting remains fluid—especially after Dosanjh reportedly exited due to scheduling conflicts. Regardless, Bazmee is adamant, “We’re taking No Entry 2 on floors very soon,” and while he won’t comment on Dosanjh’s departure, he emphasized it’s nothing unusual, saying simply, “Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta.”
Earlier reports also suggest the team have conducted location reccees in Greece, eyeing European backdrops for the laughs ahead.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4: looking for a Solid Script
On the ghostly front, the buzz around Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 remains hushed. Despite the success of parts 2 and 3 (with Kartik Aaryan stepping into the iconic “Rooh Baba” persona), Bazmee said: “We are still figuring out the story. It’s not very easy. We will start when there is a good story worth making.”
The preceding film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, released in November 2024, raked in over ₹420 crore worldwide and featured returning legends Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit alongside Kartik Aaryan . Still, Bazmee has no plans to rush—story quality comes first.
As Bazmee rightly insists, some Bollywood sequels are green-lit too early. For now, fans can look forward to No Entry 2 hitting the floors soon, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 remains on hold until its creative vision unfolds.
