Pune turned into a hotspot of glamour and excitement as Bollywood stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan descended on the city to promote their upcoming romantic drama Metro…इन दिनों. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu, the film has already created a buzz with its soulful soundtrack and ensemble cast.
Aditya & Sara’s Electric Pune Visit
The promotional tour kicked off with a heartfelt interaction at a local college, where Aditya and Sara were welcomed with loud cheers and eager faces. The actors spoke candidly about their experiences shooting Metro…इन दिनों, sharing anecdotes about working with Anurag Basu and co-stars like Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta. The event highlighted the relatable themes of the film, touching upon modern relationships and urban life complexities.
From the college, the stars headed to a popular Pune mall, where the atmosphere turned electric. Fans thronged the venue, chanting the actors’ names and scrambling for selfies as security struggled to contain the crowd. Both Aditya and Sara took time to greet fans, wave, and pose for pictures, further fueling excitement for the film’s release.
Metro…इन दिनों: A Modern Take on Urban Love
Metro…इन दिनों is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd. The film is a spiritual successor to Basu’s acclaimed 2007 hit Life in a… Metro, but explores fresh narratives. It promises an emotional ride through intertwined stories of love, heartbreak, and hope in contemporary urban India. Music for the film is composed by Pritam, who reunites with Basu after their iconic collaborations on Life in a… Metro and Barfi!.
Talking about the film, Anurag Basu shared in a statement, “Metro…इन दिनों is a tale of people and their unique stories in a city that never sleeps. It reflects on love in its varied shades and complexities.”

Metro In Dino: Release Date and Production Details
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, Metro…इन दिनों features a star-studded ensemble and marks another chapter in Basu’s storytelling of metropolitan life. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on 4th July 2025.
