First Trailer for French Action Thriller ‘The Orphans’ with Alban Lenoir

“See? We are a family.” Ha ha. Gaumont in France has unveiled the first official trailer for The Orphans, a new action thriller / buddy comedy movie coming out in August in France. This new trailer includes English subtitles, though no release info for the US yet. From the producers of the Lost Bullet series. The film is the first feature from Olivier Schneider who has worked as stunt coordinator on films including No Time To Die, Spectre, Taken, Fast and Furious X. The story follows two former childhood friends, Gab & Driss, now adversaries on opposite sides, who are forced by fate to work together again to search for the killer of a former friend from their orphanage. Against a backdrop of investigation and revenge, they come face to face with a teenager who’s determined to bring the truth to light. The Orphans movie stars Dali Benssalah, Alban Lenoir, Anouk Grinberg, and Sonia Faidi. This looks like a very fun buddy comedy with tons of action packed in. There’s actually a few good laughs in this trailer, which is promising so far. You can watch all three of the Lost Bullet movies on Netflix before this one lands in theaters in the US eventually. When their first love dies in a suspicious accident, her 17-year-old daughter, Leïla, takes Gab’s gun and sets off on the trail of a powerful organization willing to do anything to cover the case up. Forced to team up, they must stop her before she crosses a line she can’t return from… The Orphans, originally known as Les Orphelins in French, is directed by French filmmaker / stuntman Olivier Schneider, making his feature directorial debut with this film after years of work as a stunt coordinator / stuntman on many movies, including No Time To Die, Spectre, Taken, Fast & Furious X, Child 44, Marvel’s “Moon Knight”, etc. The screenplay by Alban Lenoir, Nicolas Peufaillit, Jean-André Yerlès, and Olivier Schneider. It’s produced by Rémi Cervoni and Rémi Leautier. Gaumont will debut Schneider’s The Orphans film in French cinemas starting August 20th, 2025 coming soon.
