Ibrahim Ali Khan and Rasha Thadani Set to Pair Up for the First Time in Coming-of-Age Romantic Film

Bollywood’s rising stars Ibrahim Ali Khan and Rasha Thadani are all set to charm audiences as leads in a fresh coming-of-age romantic film.

Ibrahim, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, made his acting debut earlier this year with the Netflix film Nadaaniyan, opposite Khushi Kapoor. Directed by Shauna Gautam, it was produced under Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. The film opened to largely negative reviews, criticized for its weak screenplay and performances.

Despite the backlash, Ibrahim is determined to evolve. His upcoming films Sarzameen and Diler, former war drama by Karan Johar, the latter a sports-centric narrative where he plays a marathone, will give him opportunities to showcase depth and range.

Meanwhile, Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani, made her acting debut earlier this year in Azaad. Starring alongside Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty, Rasha’s performance received praise for her confidence and screen presence despite being a newcomer and the film not performing well. With a blend of natural talent and strong lineage, Rasha brings freshness to the upcoming romantic drama.

Preps already underway

A production insider told Mid‑Day, “While he debuted with a rom-com, Ibrahim will be seen in intense roles in Sarzameen and Diler, the latter featuring him as a marathoner. After those two outings, this film—with its coming‑of‑age arc—will showcase a softer and more relatable side of him.”

Sources close to the film reveal that Ibrahim and Rasha have been actively participating in reading sessions and workshops to develop the emotional authenticity required for the story. “Ibrahim and Rasha have been doing reading sessions and workshops. The makers were clear that they didn’t want just a glamorous pair, but two actors who could tap into the awkward, exhilarating energy of first love. Rasha and Ibrahim clicked from their very first meeting,” the production insider said.

While details about the film’s title, director, and supporting cast remain under wraps, excitement is already building among fans eager to see this fresh pairing on screen. If the early buzz and the duo’s commitment to their roles are any indication, the film promises to deliver a heartfelt story that resonates with today’s young audience.
